  • Addiction Counselling: For individuals who are struggling with addiction and for whom individual counselling may be effective.  My therapeutic orientation is informed by integral meta-theory, self psychology, existential philosophy and psychology, and 12 Step Philosophy and Methodology.
  • Recovery Coaching: In my coaching methodology I assist my clients in developing an Integrated Recovery Program, which can be described as mindfully practising their physical, intellectual, psychological, existential, social and environmental dimensions as part of a lifestyle-oriented approach that is geared towards continued personal development in relation to self, others, and being-in-the-world.
  • 8 Week Integrated Recovery Program course: I provide a structured 8 week course for individuals in recovery that want to learn the basics of working an Integrated Recovery Program (IRP), as outlined in my books An Integral Guide to Recovery and An Integral Foundation for Addiction Treatment. The course is presented in 8 sessions: Session 1 provides an overview of the IRP, sessions 2 - 7 explores each of the recovery dimensions (physical, intellectual, psychological, social, existential, environmental), and session 8 provides the basics of working an IRP.
  • Existential Counselling: Helping my clients discover, or rather "un-cover", meaning in their lives, as well as dealing emotionally and intellectually with the existential givens of existence. Existential Counselling explores the way we encounter issues of our own freedom and examines the role of personal choice within our lives. My approach is informed by the work of existential philosophers (in particular Nietzsche, Heidegger, Kierkegaard, & Camus) and existential psychologists (in particular Frankl, Boss & Yalom).

"The soul in its essence will say to herself: no one can build the bridge on which you in particular will have to cross the river of life-no one but yourself. Of course there are countless paths and bridges and demigods ready to carry you over the river, but only at the price of your own self. In all the world, there is one specific way that no one but you can take…”
